Today we are launching Mario.Game — a home for free, Mario-style platformers you can play right in your browser, with no downloads, accounts or installs.
What's here
- Mario.Game Adventure — our own original platformer with 8 levels in 4 worlds, from Green Hills to the Lava Castle. It works with a keyboard, a gamepad or touch controls on your phone.
- Six open-source fan versions from GitHub, each on its own page with controls, credits and tips: Infinite Mario Bros, the Mario.js World 1-1 remake, MariOCaml, Super Mario Phaser, Super Mario HTML5 on Phaser 3 and the Mario Level Editor.
- Guides — a beginner's guide, a full walkthrough, every secret, scoring rules, movement tips and more.
- History and Characters — a timeline of the series since 1981 and a who's who of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Why we built it
Platformers are the perfect browser game: easy to start, hard to master, and fun in five-minute bursts. Many brilliant fan projects live on GitHub, but they are scattered and often hard to find. We wanted one place to play the best of them, properly credited, alongside a game of our own.
What's next
We'll keep improving Adventure, adding guides and expanding the history section. Found a bug or have an idea? Contact us — we read every message.
Have fun, and see you at the flagpole!
