Super Mario HTML5 (Phaser 3)

A polished TypeScript and Phaser 3 version of World 1-1

Super Mario HTML5 (Phaser 3)

About Super Mario HTML5 (Phaser 3)

This version of World 1-1 was written in TypeScript on top of Phaser 3 by the developer ffx0s. The level was laid out in the Tiled map editor, and Mario's abilities are built as separate “powers” — moving, jumping, growing, shooting fire, star invincibility and entering pipes — that switch on and off as you pick up items.

It plays smoothly at 60 fps and shows the classic HUD with score, coins, time and lives. If you are learning game development, it is also a neat example of how a modern framework handles tile maps, physics bodies and animation.

Controls

InputAction
← →Move
↑ or SpaceJump
↓Crouch / enter pipes
ZThrow fireballs

Features

  • World 1-1 built in the Tiled map editor and rendered with Phaser 3
  • Modular power system: move, jump, grow, fire, invincibility, pipe warps
  • Animated ? blocks, breakable bricks and score pop-ups
  • On-screen timer, coin counter and lives

Tips

  1. The arrows move and ↑ or Space jumps; Z throws fireballs once you have a flower.
  2. Watch the timer in the HUD — when it hits zero you lose a life.
  3. Look for the pipe you can enter with ↓ to reach the underground coin room.
