Your best score for each level is saved in your browser. Here is exactly how points are awarded in Mario.Game Adventure, and how to get more of them.
Point values
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Coin | 200 |
| Breaking a brick | 50 |
| Collecting a power-up | 1,000 |
| Kicking a shell | 400 |
| Fireball kill | 200 |
| Bumping an enemy from below | 100 |
| Defeating the boss | 5,000 |
| Each second left on the clock | 50 |
Chains
Stomping several enemies without touching the ground — and hitting enemies with a sliding shell or while invincible — builds a chain. The values climb quickly:
| Chain | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | 100 |
| 2nd | 200 |
| 3rd | 400 |
| 4th | 500 |
| 5th | 800 |
| 6th | 1,000 |
| 7th | 2,000 |
| 8th | 4,000 |
| 9th | 5,000 |
| 10th | 8,000 |
| 11th and beyond | 1-Up each |
The flagpole
Where you grab the flag matters. The highest section is worth 5,000 points, then 2,000, 800, 400 and 100 near the bottom. Jump from the top step of the final staircase while running to reach the top.
Strategy
- Hit the flag top every time — it is the single biggest bonus in each level.
- Finish fast. With a 300-second clock, finishing in 100 seconds earns 10,000 points from the time bonus alone.
- Use shells. One well-aimed kick down a line of enemies can earn more than a dozen coins.
- Save the Starman for crowds. In 1-1, 2-1 and 4-1 the star is placed right before groups of enemies.
- Collect power-ups even when big — each one is still worth 1,000 points.
- Multi-coin bricks give up to seven coins (1,400 points). See where they are in the secrets guide.
